Golden became the darling of women's racing in 2011 when she drove her truck and trailer 1000 miles to Denver, through an ice storm, to try to become the first woman to qualify for an Arenacross main event. She made 3 mains on the series, then came to XG 17 and was visibly more comfortable on the Arenacross-like track than her competition. After winning gold she signed with Babbitt's Kawasaki, the #1 team in Arenacross, to race full-time in the winter of 2012. A collarbone injury and a premature return made for a rough season with few highlights. Golden returns to XG as a medal favorite but won't be competing in the Women's Motocross Championship this summer for the first time since 2008.
